The author is a 28 year old Native American. He is a combat veteran who deployed to Sadr City, Baghdad in 2004 with the US Army's First Cavalry Division. An avidly active gang member in various cities and on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation has allowed him to experience life in an often ignored portion of society. He has spent time in the South Dakota State Penitentiary for taking a combative approach to the oppression that has built itself into the collective unconscious of various regions surrounding the Sioux reservations. As well as being a Lakota Sundancer, is a practicing Wiccan (low magick) and Kaballist (high magick.)
