Katherine Gordon (Rice) has been studying art and painting for over forty years, with artists/teachers such as Diane Jones, Tasso Pitsiri and Scott Christensen. She has worked in prestigious galleries, as an art editor for newspapers, as a private art instructor, and as an advocate for the arts and arts education. Gordon has won numerous awards, and her work hangs in public and private collections across the U.S. and Europe, including the Omniplex Museum in Oklahoma City. Her work has been featured in SW Art and Art Calendar Magazines, among others. Several documentaries have been produced about her work, notably the nationally-syndicated "About the Arts" aired on WGBH, Boston. She is a well-known professional fine artist, author and advocate for improved arts education in the US and abroad.
