A California college English and ESL instructor, Catherine Coleman, called Mrs. C by her students, provides practical lessons for ESL students so they can better communicate with their college classmates. Using specific strategies and personal stories based on education and experience, Mrs. C gives concrete methods to increase communication. There are lessons on verbal and non-verbal communication as well as a lesson on general strategy. Coleman’s Classroom is an educational venue for Catherine Coleman, known by her students as Mrs. C. Mrs. C has an M.A. in Linguistics with an emphasis on teaching ESL with technology, a certificate in TESL, and a B.A. in English. Currently, she is back in school earning a certificate in Post Secondary Reading Instruction. Since 2003, she has been teaching in various private and public schools and is currently teaching in the Southern California community college system.
