L'autore:
James "Jim" Beuther was born Tuesday April 4, 1972. He passed away on Friday April 6, 2012 sometime during the night in his sleep at his Mothers home in Florida while on Spring break from his teaching at West Islip High School Long Island, N.Y. Jim spent most of his life in West Islip where he attended the same school district that he taught. After High School he went upstate New York to College at Oneonta, where he received his degrees in Bachelor of Science in English and Education. He received his Masters in Secondary Education from Dowling College on Long Island. He recently was working on Post Masters courses at Saint Roses. He loved writing stories and poetry. As a young child he would write poems and give them as presents. Jim's happiest and most rewarding times were spent in the classroom teaching, Which was his absolute passion! He coached the girls J.V. Soccer team and the boys seventh and eighth grade Wrestling team. He played Soccer himself from the age of four. He started wrestling in Middle School and up through his second year of College where he gave it up to concentrate on his studies. He spent most of his free time in Florida at his mothers home relaxing. He always talked of retiring there someday. Every summer he would leave for Spain the day after the last day of School to back pack doing the El Camino, "The Way of St. James." When asked why he did the same thing every year he said it kept him centered. He always came back refreshed and lighter! He would spend the last week before school started in Florida with his Mom relaxing at the pool, but always looked forward to getting back to the classroom. Jim never acquired a lot of material things, but he new the importance of family values, pride in himself his faith and respect for others which was instilled in him by his step dad. His life was too short and it has left a void in many peoples heart who loved him dearly.
