Sixty-year old divorcee Cammy Jackson had a secret, a terrible secret that she’d been hiding for twenty-six years, and if her luck held up, she’d carry it to the grave with her! Yes, she would! And why shouldn’t she? She deserved to keep it hidden! She’d earned the right! After all, hadn’t she spent her entire adult life raising her two children alone and carrying on the legacy of her rather unorthodox ancestors and founders of her home town, Two Plantations, FL? She’d been ‘paying it forward’ or ‘giving back’ to this town, her home, just as she’d been taught to do, just as each generation before her had done. Surely she deserved to keep this one secret?! And then fate did to her what it always seems to do when one least expected it. It slapped her in the face, and the hand that it used belonged to Caleb ‘Sug’ Wellington, the only man she had ever truly loved and who had the audacity, the nerve to return to Two Plantations as its new police chief and, by doing so, threatened to bring Cammy’s world crashing down around her. Damned secret! It would destroy them all!
