He joined the US Navy and spent four years in Hawaii, then five years in Scotland before jumping the metaphorical ship. He moved to Seattle for two years, but couldn't sleep so returned to the United Kingdom in 1992 and took up residency in the South East of England where he has remained ever since. He tries to use his writing to entertain and make people laugh.
