Three seemingly unrelated crimes are committed. The victims include an attorney from Texas, a teacher in Wisconsin and a swim instructor from Washington. A strange bit of evidence is left at each crime scene, which links them together. Stephanie Quinlan, the only child of the murdered teacher, is an accomplished motivational speaker and author, and is engaged to a successful young businessman. When she gets word of her mother's murder, she puts her life on hold and goes on a quest to find the killer. This brings her closer to an answer, but at the same time, brings her dangerously close to an unknown entity.

Twisted Strands is Jackie's first novel, although she has enjoyed writing as a hobby. As is true of many writers, she is an avid reader and especially likes suspense mysteries with a psychological twist. Jackie has always had a heart for communicatively challenged people, so she spent her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist, working in public schools, and teaching courses at the college and university level. She founded Horizon Therapy which provided speech services for schools and hospitals and she served on the California Speech Pathology-Audiology Examining Committee for a number of years. Five years ago she established the Reader-Writer's Group at the Running Y Ranch Resort, where she lives near Klamath Falls, Oregon. Now Jackie is ready to move on to entertaining people with Twisted Strands. Besides writing, she loves being a grandmother and enjoys exploring the pristine beauty of Southern Oregon with her husband, Tom, and their little dog Lexie.
