At birth we know nothing. We emerge into this world wholly dependent on those tasked with caring for us. And while we learn and gain knowledge as we grow older, from the beginning we are gifted with a wide range of feelings and emotions that have no context—and we lack the experience to give them any. As a result, our negative emotional reaction to events can be harmful for a lifetime as they become ingrained and inform our decisions going forward. And the fact is, often the behaviors these decisions foster stem from simple desires left unmet that lead to misperceptions and, consequently, feelings of hurt, alienation, and mistrust.Presenting the pathway to achieving the life you’ve always wanted, Cynthia Aragon’s bracingly honest portrayal of her life presents actionable lessons to apply to your own. Growing up with limited emotional support and guidance leads to a life filled with confusion and unhappiness. Despite working her way through law school and ascending to the top of the corporate ladder she still feels unsatisfied. Realizing that life works from the inside out, she has no choice if she wants to be happy: she has to confront her inner pain and fear and learn to create her own definition of happiness—and then live it. Now, having come out the other side of her journey, she is here to share the mistakes, the successes, and the lessons learned from her path to help you complete yours. If rather than merely living out your life just to get through it you would like to live it and be happy, then this is the book for you. Passing to you the lessons she learned along the way, Aragon’s book is a remarkable self-help guide that will empower you to take responsibility for your life, to take control, and to achieve all you’ve ever wanted—starting today. She takes the important moments of growth in her own life head-on, giving you the courage you need to do the same. Cathartic and uplifting, her fully relatable story is an inspiration as it delivers a roadmap to personal, emotional success. Imbued with the quintessential American ethos that the power of happiness and success are in your hands, Finding Happy: A Life of Survival and Success teaches that the life you’ve dreamed of is already yours—you just have to create it.

L'autore:
Cynthia Aragon grew up in a typical middle class family. The daughter of hard-working parents, she realized that she wanted more out of life than what she was being shown and worked hard to put herself through law school and even harder to climb to the top of the corporate ladder by the age of thirty-five. Yet this did not fulfill her—she was still not “happy,” so she journeyed to find out why. This is her first novel.
