The Straits of Hell is a sequel to Valhalla that takes place fifteen years in the future. Several Earth submarines go back to Valhalla and fight along side the Black Glove fleet for the safety and well-being of both Earth and Valhalla. Dr. Kurenof has advanced in technology and becomes a major threat to Earth’s future. Some of the main characters in the novel Valhalla return to fight and die for their planet. More of the wonderful and terrible features of the planet Valhalla come to light. The Straits of Hell brings the reader further along in the series and give them a hint of what will happen next.

Helms · Served in the Navy from 1970 to 1978, on two submarines. · Editor ship’s newspaper for USS Francis Scott Key (SSBN 657) from 1974 to 1976. · Written over 20 short stories, six published. · Short Story “The Phone of Plenty” won 3rd Place in the 1993 Arizona Author’s Contest. · I have written four science fictions books, a book about submarines and submariners, and a collection of short stories. · Has a chapter in an anthology called Trans People in Love, published by Haworth Press, Inc. in 2007. · Have articles published in Echo Magazine, Southern Voice newspaper, Washington Blade newspaper, Houston Voice newspaper, Military Equality Alliance (MEA) newsletter, and several blogs. · Regular column in Transgender Tapestry called “. . . And That’s the Way it is.” From 2000 to 2006. · Founder and President of the Transgender American Veterans Association (TAVA) 2003 to 2013. · Creator of the first Transgender Pride Flag, 1999. · Over 200 videos in YouTube. · Have a General AA degree, and AA for Industrial Television and working on an AA degree in Television Production. · Worked for Sprint for 25 years and retired in January 2015.
