Tamara Whitacre began her professional career as a copywriter for several major advertising agencies in Chicago and went on to become an Emmy Award-winning writer/producer for television stations in Florida and California, accumulating a portfolio of creative accomplishments along the way.

The writer/film producer owns and operates Whitacre Works, a production company that creates promotional videos for international clients. Whitacre’s work through her company includes a project for the French cruise ship, The Mermoz, where she filmed the ship's journey across several countries from Oslo, Norway, to France.

Whitacre has also written a number of screenplays, primarily romantic comedies, one of which took first place in an international screenwriting contest. Her debut book, 365 Happy Hours, provides party people with unique cocktail ideas celebrating different events in world history each day of the year.
