Tamara Whitacre began her professional career as a copywriter for several major advertising agencies in Chicago and went on to become an Emmy Award-winning writer/producer for television stations in Florida and California, accumulating a portfolio of creative accomplishments along the way.
The writer/film producer owns and operates Whitacre Works, a production company that creates promotional videos for international clients. Whitacre’s work through her company includes a project for the French cruise ship, The Mermoz, where she filmed the ship's journey across several countries from Oslo, Norway, to France.
Whitacre has also written a number of screenplays, primarily romantic comedies, one of which took first place in an international screenwriting contest.
