Romello Xavier Sinclair is a street and self-educated writer and poet, who acquired this writing spark behind bars for nearly 15 years. He spent most of his adult life in prison, and this produced a desire in him to utilize this gift to heal and inspire. Although he is now 44 years old, his writings are reflective of his past as a neglected child, victim of molestation, being a pimp, gigolo and becoming an ex-con. All these bitter-sweet experiences were often necessary in creating the type of man that he is today, a good man. In those early stages of his mental development and intellectual prowess into manhood, he was influenced by writers like Shakespeare, Malcolm X, Donald Goines, and more importantly- Iceberg Slim. Iceberg Slim's books had a very therapeutic impact on his ability to cope with prison life, and it was those secret journeys thorough those pages that allowed Romello to soar and discover his own flare with the pen.
