You work to make life as normal as it could be; given the circumstances. My book is about a child born with limited mental capacities with an ambitious heart. Every step of the way she is battling her disabilities to be like everyone else. Her passion for life is contagious. Everyone is rooting for her! When she least expects it, her life takes her to a new level and she experiences the love she had always known was out there waiting for her to capture it. At 37, more childlike than adult, someone will have to take care of her for the rest of her life. My goal is to prepare her as best I can for life without me when I'm gone. Lauren is my daughter. I wrote this novel to celebrate her success. I also wrote the novel to show parents that obstacles are just that, obstacles. They are not constructed of brick. My philosophy's in life are simple, "you can do anything you set your mind out to do." and " There is a solution to every problem."
