The author, Gary Renfro lives in Ponder, TX which is about 30 miles north of Fort Worth. He grew up in Memphis, TN, where he had all of baseball playing experiences. He played the game, umpired and coached during his years of loving the game. He still attempts to watch one or two games a week and goes to the big league park several times a season. He is married with one daughter, two step children and four grand kids. The "Summer of 66" is his first published writing.
