Performance of these products under actual field conditions is not known. If you need to use a pesticide, you are better off hiring a licensed, professional pesticide applicator with experience in treating bed bugs.”

As a member of the Thrasher family, Garrett grew up in the pest control business founded by his father in 1979. After earning his B.S. in Psychology from U.C. Irvine, he worked for several different pest control companies to understand various business models. His number one take-away was the same as his family’s philosophy: there is nothing more important than customer satisfaction. Garrett settled in San Diego and opened the Southern California branch of the business. As with many areas of the U.S., San Diego residents have been plagued by bed bugs. Wanting to provide the best possible service to his customers, Garrett immersed himself in understanding bed bug habits and in adopting the most effective methodologies for bed bug extermination. After performing thousands of bed bug treatments, he discovered that the number one predictor of success was the active participation of the affected people. Unfortunately, while many pest control operators are good at their jobs, many fail in their ability to adequately arm their clients for the forthcoming battle against bed bugs. Garrett wrote the Bed Bug Battle Plan to ensure that his clients, and anyone else suffering from bed bugs, understood their role in bed bug control and were able to make informed decisions about the best control option for their situation. Garrett Thrasher is a San Diego District Director of the Pest Control Operators of California (PCOC), a member of the bedbugFREE network, and a member of the National Pest Management Association.
