It draws heavily upon the reference standard The Frank Lloyd Wright Companion but, in arranging the materials around design themes, makes what in the Companion is often technical, here open to the neophyte. Yet, in its approach to Wright’s source of creativity, it offers new insights to the best-read Wrightian.

Of all authors who have written about or are writing about Frank Lloyd Wright, only William Allin Storrer, Ph.D., with 64 years of contact with and study of the work of America’s best-known architect, can offer a new and uncompromising vision of his work and genius. Storrer holds the Ph.D. in Comparative Arts and is the author of The Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, A Complete Catalog and The Frank Lloyd Wright Companion. He is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin.
