L'autore:
Born in Kingston, Ontario Canada on August 02, 1958, living his first 16 years in the town of Inverary, Ontario, author, Kevin Simpson was determined to become a successful country music (positive), writer/performer. His dream began to unfold at the CCM Awards Show in September 1995 when an initial breakfast meeting turned into an all day event starting with an invite to sit in on Shania Twain's very first press conference. From here he had the privilege of meeting the Mary Bailey Management Team, along with Luke Lewis, renowned CEO of Mercury Nashville, and then to be further extended as their guest at the Awards Show and Gala Event. Kevin did not arrive at this place without his fair share of baggage, both good and bad. He became a born-again Christian in the fall of 1987 shortly after his 2nd wife asked him to leave the matrimonial home; he married a 3rd time on October 25, 1989; became an ordained Pastor who spent 4.5 years in the pulpit before resigning in 2007 with the equivalent of a Master's of Religious Studies in deliberate unorthodox study hours; graduated a PSW study curriculum, with honours, for the privilege of working with individuals who are intellectually challenged; and he failed miserably in his attempt to share with the world a solution to our failing job system that included two book releases as proof that never saw daylight. When we take into consideration that for 20+ years, Kevin worked at just about anything and everything to help fund his music career, including vacuum sales, Fuller Brush, Superintendent positions, car sales, pizza delivery, courier driver, Regional Sales Manager of Schneider Foods, and as a Life Insurance & Investments Advisor to name a few, not to mention all the above and the written materials that are just beginning to surface in book form, then without reservation, it's fair to suggest that that kind of experience, insight, and wisdom, is something we don't and won't find in textbooks. If following an author, whom from childhood has always lived to put others first, who loves all and judges none, and who's not afraid to say what needs to be said rather than what people want to hear, then Kevin Simpson is an author and person we can all count on and look forward to learning from on a whole different plateau as to the norm.
