Homeworld Above is a tabletop RPG adventure. The year is 2542 A.D. It has been more than four hundred years since mankind first made contact with an alien species. For centuries, we knew an era of learning, friendship, and shared discoveries as we welcomed species after species into our planetary collective, the Milky Way Association. Perhaps that age of prosperity was too good to be true; the era came to a fiery end in 2437 A.D., a little over one hundred years ago. That was when the Jorgoans, ever greedy for more worlds to colonize, discovered the Association’s data network and laid siege to every last one of its planets. Billions died in the assault, and those few who survived were trapped in various underground shelters, cut off from the rest of the world. The distant planets that were once our homes are but memories now. Earth is all we have. We have been living in this underground city called Vesten since the assault, safe from the eyes and scanners of the Jorgoan colonists up on the surface, but we won’t be able to stay that way for much longer. Our food stores are nearly depleted. At least a few of us here will have to start venturing to the surface to hunt and forage. The world above our heads is a merciless jungle, not just housing the Jorgoan colonists, but teeming with dangerous wildlife. The radiation unleashed on the planet’s surface during the attack, not to mention the rupturing of countless psi crystal caverns from the same, have no doubt wreaked havoc on the natural order of things. This will be a battle for survival. Are you brave enough to ascend?
