This book is a collection of short papers which for the most part cover topics I studied while trying to understand a particular aspect of the Old Testament, which I refer to as the Abrahamic cycle. This subject has captured my attention for some time. My hope is to show that the Old Testament has a well thought out overarching design which describes a plan by which those who have the faith of Abraham will one day be given dominion over the earth. This transfer takes place as the iniquity of any given nation comes to its full, which then proceeds into what is described as the Day of the Lord. Also intertwined is a story of how Israel inherits rest in Canaan which brings about the resurrection of the dead. All this has been woven into a complex story which runs from Abraham to King Solomon. My goal has been to piece this story together in an understandable way.
