Two Miles of Bay, a speck of a town about two miles wide, needs more tourists and decides to hire an advertising agency. The town council believe that all great advertising comes from New York City. They run an ad in the New York Times and after receiving dozens of responses they choose three agencies to compete for their business.
There are several things about Two Miles of Bay and it's citizens that are worth mentioning, all of them odd. First off, everyone in town sings, not choir singing, or shower singing, but top of the lungs, whenever the spirit moves them singing. Everyone young and old practices magic, and you're more likely to find a baby with a wand than a rattle. The town has invented it's own language which they use in everyday conversations. Finally, the only real source of revenue for the town is Strange Fish found only in the waters of Two Miles of Bay.
Two Miles of Bay is the story of what happens when a town full of singers, who practice magic, and speak a strange language, meet and interact with advertising agency types from New York City.
