Gilt titles to dark green cloth, spine titled in gilt, bevelled edges, plain black end-papers, matching green cloth slip-case. Fine copy in very good slip-case. North Country Flies. By T.E. Pritt, Angling Editor of the "Yorkshire Post," and Honorary Secretary, Yorkshire Anglers' Association. Comprising eleven plates of hand-painted illustrations, from the author's own drawings, with particulars of the dressings and season of each fly; and chapters on fishing the minnow, the creeper, the stonefly, and the worm in clear water, with an extra plate showing the hooks necessary therefore. This edition has a new introduction by Leslie Magee. * This 1995 Smith Settle edition is seen in two variant bindings. The first, and superior, issue is bound in a tight-weave dark green cloth, upper board and spine titled in gilt, gilt fly motif to upper board, bevelled edges, dark brown end-papers, top edge gilt. The second issue (which carries the same date and limitation statements but was actually issued by the publisher in 2000) is bound in a looser-weave, lighter green cloth with the same gilt title and design, boards not bevelled, plain end-papers, top edge gilt. The second issue, though not stated, is known to be a further printing of 500 copies. Both of these editions were issued in slipcases bound in the same cloth as the books themselves.
