Terry Hunt, the editor of the East Anglian Daily Times newspaper since 1996, is also a 'true blue' Ipswich Town supporter. Brought up in the heart of Suffolk, Terry started attending Ipswich games in 1968, as Bill McGarry's team surged back to the old First Division. In the 40-plus years since, Terry - along with thousands of other Town fans - has experienced a roller coaster ride with many fantastic highs and several forgettable lows. The highs were mostly in the Bobby Robson era, when Ipswich were permanent fixtures in Europe, winning the UEFA Cup in 1981 to follow their FA Cup triumph three years earlier. The lows included three relegations from the top-flight, seemingly endless Play-off defeats, and some dismal seasons under John Duncan and Jim Magilton. But 1,000 games later, Terry's undying optimism remains. He is a North Stand season ticket-holder, and he looks forward to a potential new 'glory era' under Roy Keane's leadership. Away from football and work, Terry is married with three teenage children and enjoys most sports as a spectator. He also plays golf - very badly.
