Now, in 2012, Anne Brown is running her late uncle’s, detective agency. One day, an eleven year-old letter arrives, addressed to her uncle, from Carolyn Jollimore. She claims to have evidence about a murder and begs for help. Anne soon learns that Jollimore is dead. Troubled by the evidence, Anne must decide if she should investigate the murder.

Finley Martin was born in Binghamton, New York, but grew up in Scranton. He graduated Scranton Prep, received a B.A. degree in English at the University of Scranton, and served as an officer with the United States Marines at posts in the U.S., the Caribbean, and Okinawa. After returning to civilian life, he worked as a free-lance writer, PR consultant and photographer, and became public relations director at International Correspondence Schools.
He has published numerous magazine and newspaper articles, poetry, and short stories in Canada and the U.S. He produced a mini-series for CBC Radio and has given many poetry readings. His first novel,The Reluctant Detective (Acorn Press 2012), has been praised by critics. His other publications include an anthology,New Maritime Writing, and a history book,A View from the Bridge.
