Moira C. Reeve is the former editor of Horse Illustrated magazine. She is a life-long equestrienne, first learning the ropes of western riding, then switching over to hunt-seat. She rode in the hunter division as a junior rider and then progressed to dressage. As an adult, she has competed in dressage, hunter, and equitation and now enjoys show jumping. She has written two other books on horses. She lives in Long Beach, California
Award-winning writer Sharon Biggs has written for Horse Illustrated, Dressage and CT, Horses USA, Chronicle of the Horse, Veterinary Practice News and Dressage Today. In the United Kingdom she wrote for Horse magazine and Horse and Hound online. She lived for six years in the Southeast of England with her husband Mark, a London mounted police officer. She is also a dressage trainer and riding instructor and was one of the Civil Service Club instructors at the Royal Mews in Buckingham Palace in London. She is the author of In One Arena: Top Dressage Experts Share their Knowledge through the Levels (Half Halt Press). She and her husband Mark now live on their organic hobby farm in Northwest Indiana.
