Gerade, wenn es um die Bewertung von gebrauchten Gitarren, also nicht nur von alten Klassikern, sondern auch von Modellen neueren Baudatums geht, steht man oft vor der Frage, welche Literatur zurate ziehen. Hierzu sind im Alfredverlag die Bücher "Blue Book of Acoustic & Elctric Guitars" erschienen. Beide Publikationen behandeln umfangreich die Bewertung von Akustik- und Elektrogitarren, die in der 13. aktualisierten Ausgabe wieder auf den neusten Stand gebracht wurden. Die von Zachery R Fjestad komplett überarbeitete Ausgabe hält den Leser in puncto Preise sowie technische Informationen von modernen und auch Vintage-Modellen (Gitarren und Bässe bis Baujahr 2011) auf dem neuesten Stand. Zachary R. Fjestad is the author of the Blue Book of Acoustic Guitars and Blue Book of Electric Guitars value guides and serves as the editor of numerous other guitar and music-related books. Fjestad attends several guitar shows throughout the year, including both NAMM shows, and is connected with many guitar dealers and enthusiasts across the country. A graduate of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, Fjestad holds a degree in technical writing and communication, and he currently lives in the Twin Cities area with his wife, Jill.
