Whether you're employed, run a small or large company, retired, a student, or in between jobs, Obamacare will impact you (if it hasn't already).

Wondering what Obamacare—the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act—really means and how much it affect you and your loved ones? You're in good company! Although the first open enrollment period for plans within the Affordable Care Act's insurance exchanges is now in the history books, Obamacare for the GENIUS explains—in an informal, down-to-earth, upbeat style—how you and your loved ones will be affected by this landmark legislation now and in the years to come.

Since this is a For the GENIUS book, it won't insult your intelligence by pandering to the strong feelings that readers are likely to have about Obamacare, whether you're for it, against it, or somewhere in the middle, or you simply don't yet know enough to have a firm opinion. In a nonpartisan approach, the author explores the topic in the full context that gave rise to the Affordable Care Act and how it's transforming the health care landscape. You will have a fuller appreciation for how you will be impacted now and in years to come, and you will learn key strategies to make the right decisions that impact the health care you and your loved ones receive.

Obamacare for the GENIUS is written by Stacie Harting Marsh, a policy analyst and writer in the health care industry. She walks you through key considerations within the context of where you live; your income, age, and gender; your physical, mental, and oral health status; and other key considerations. She also uncovers special considerations for small business owners, freelancers, and entrepreneurs.

Marsh credits her own experience as a consumer and small business owner as the impetus for writing a book about Obamacare. "I needed a book like this to understand the basics and the complexities of this massive legislation. I hope this book will fill a knowledge gap for consumers in America," says Marsh.
