"The Table of Power" is Dutch photographer Jacqueline Hassink's gem-like 1996 artist's book / interior design typology that like much of her work explores the balance of power conferred in private, public and social settings. It details the meeting rooms of the boards of directors of forty European companies such as British Petroleum, Ciba-Geigy, and Daimler Benz - twenty-one of which she was able to photograph - revealing the rarely-if-ever seen enclaves where corporate decisions that affect the social sphere are made in secret.
