Riassunto: After retirement comes the renaissance.
This book is a collection of poems written for a poetry-writing class at a lifelong-learning center in Baltimore. The author explains that after a long career as a professional newspaper writer, he turned to studying and writing poetry in his search for ''news that remains news.'' The poems may be of interest for several reasons: for the simple pleasure of reading well-wrought sentences about an older person's real experiences; as an example of what may still be achieved after retirement by aspiring poets; and for the glimpse the collection provides into the inner life of their author.
About the Author: Isaac Rehert is a Baltimore ''fixture.'' He has lived and written in that vicinity for many decades. He is perhaps best known for his stories and columns in The Baltimore Sun. He participated in writing workshops at Johns Hopkins University and Towson University; at the latter, he also taught a course in the Masters in Professional Writing Program.
