Same titles and decorations as Vol. 1. Wear to edges and spine, some minor loss to leather at top of spine and corners, with small stain and few bumps to boards. Page edges printed. Minor loss to front pastdown at spine. End papers lightly foxed; missing RFEP. Otherwise, pages and contents are in vg condition with no inscriptions.

Old ownership marks from O'Donovans to title with a long inscription dated 1921 conveying the book from Richard O'Donovan to Luis Barreiro.Note that the old endpapers were removed. Further ownership makrs on first page of advertisement and the first text page. Title chipped and repaired, last page of ads worn, scattered foxing (heavier at start and end), but very clean otherwise. Though styled the Second Edition because of Baretti's debt to Giral Delpino's 1763 work, this is the first of the Baretti and substantially different from earlier works (including a great number of words added from Baretti's friend Samuel Johnson's dictionary). 2 parts in one volume, unpaginated.
