Hardcover. Original. Decorative orange paper/boards. Title block laid on. Orange cloth spine. Decorative map end papers (Central/South American/Mexico). 64 pp. with color frontis; 7 color and 190 bw plates + XXII pp. Occasional bw illus. within text. Text in French. With an extensive essay followed by notes. Excellent, clear examples of Pre-Columbian art, each plate annotated at the back. A classic. VG- contents (clean and tight; a hint of age toning to page margins); Covers wearing, and someone has cleanly removed the upper half of the cloth from the spine. tetxblock lightly worn and foxed; front cover lightly cocked. Art museum ex-libris).
Paperback. Condizione: Fair. Book is in fair condition, with minor overall aging and wear. The main issue is that the front cover is about to come loose, being barely attached to the spine. Also there's significant chipping to lower spine. Otherwise, a nice copy with clean crisp pages and sharp illustrations. Text in French. Due to size, shipping may be more than quoted.

Hard cover. Condizione: Very good. No jacket. Text is in French. Cover is rubbed, worn on edges, with slight stains and front bottom corner torn, and small closed tear at top of spine, but text and images are clear and legible. Spine is shaken, but binding is secure. Foxing on outer and bottom edge of textblock, but pages unaffected. Bookplate of previous owner on front endpaper. Pages otherwise unmarked.

Hard Cover. Condizione: Very Good. No Jacket. This is a very good hardcover copy of the original edition in decorated orange-paper covered boards with a light red cloth spine. Tipped-on paper title label to the front cover. Just light wear to corners and edges. No marks on the covers. Very clean inside. Text in French. Endpapers are maps of Central America. One previous owner bookplate from the 1930's to the back of the endpaper. Bibliography. 190 monochrome plates, including a number in color. Errata sheet laid-in. List of plates identifies all material. Most of the work presented here is from the Musee du Trocadero in Paris, but about a third of the works drawn from other museums throughout the world, including the National Archeological Museum in Mexico City, the British Museum, the Museum of the American Indian in New York, and the Museum fur Volkerkunde in Berlin. Book design and layout by B.Grosser. 11" high X 9" wide, 63 text pages + plates. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.
