Hardcover. Condizione: Fair. Please note description of condition. Not ex-lib. Hardcover illustrated tan and brown boards, no jacket, 8vo. 108pp. Color plates and line drawings by Harry G. Theaker throughout (plate at p.44 missing). Fair, with primary reason for downgrade strong separation before title page at frontis, all holding well, though strong play along hingewith webbing exposed. Fairly strong separation at pp. 32-33; less severe at pp. 64-65, 96-97 with all holding well. Else G+ to VG-. Rubbing to light backgrounds of boards, stronger on rear, with colors and titles all clean and strongly colored. Abrasion with expsed card at corners, rubbing with touches of surface loss at spine ends with binding strip clean with strong titles. Light uniform toning to clean, somewhat stiff pages (stronger toning to free endpapers as from news clippings). Plates are clean and very bright.

Slight cracking to hinges, with exposed netting, pages slightly loose. Pages and illustrations have light tanning and foxing throughout. Front free endpaper cut out. Previous owner's inscription to title page. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Tears to paper to edges. Wear marks overall.

Quarto 10'' x 8'' 142 [x] printed pages of text with 12 splendid full-page single-sided colour plates [four of which have worked loose and have been tipped back-in] full and part page monochrome illustrations throughout. Ink name dated 1920 to the front free end paper, corners bumped, without any foxing and in Good condition. Member of the P.B.F.A. CHILDREN'S & JUVENILE.
