A little known work by Flagg, written while working for the Marietta, Ohio Gazette; "is but the hasty production of a rainy month in winter, in absence of every other amusement" dedication dated: Marietta, March, 1843. The New World was a short lived publication, from June 6, 1840 - May 10, 1845. The extra series were issued: May 16, 1842 - Jan. 1844. Published every Saturday and edited by Park Benjamin. Left edges show evidence that this was previously bound.
