One of 15 copies bound in full board-backed vellum, (from an edition of 150 copies) signed by the artist, printed in Monotype Bembo on Barcham Green handmade paper, 17 wood-engravings by Richard Shirley Smith, initial letters designed by the same, these and the border to the title-page and fly-titles all printed in brown, these specials with a separate suite of all the wood-engravings, each sheet signed and numbered by the artist, pp. 46, [66, Letters], royal 8vo (10.5 inches by 7.5). The full vellum boards are gorgeous, backstrip lettered in gilt with device to upper board in same, t.e.g., tail edge untrimmed, the extra prints in buff cloth portfolio (using same cover device), original prospectus and order form laid in, these together in matching cloth slipcase. Fine throughout. This copy is not numbered but the colophon indicates (in pencil) that it is the presentation copy for the illustrator Richard Shirley Smith. Fine press at it's absolute best.
