Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. No Jacket. Joseph Schindelman (illustratore). 1st Edition. I've seen copies of this first printing (was there ever a second?) in blue cloth boards, but this copy is in a sort of lime green/yellow cloth with an illustration in brown and blue on the front. I don't know if this is just a variant, or a library binding, or what. It is an ex-library copy although relatively unsullied. There's a "DISCARD" stamp on front endpaper, a small rubber stamp on title page, and the remains of a small label on spine. The edges are quite browned, and a few pages have small brown spots. Base of the spine is worn and nicked and the covers show some minor grubbiness. Illustrated with drawings by Joseph Schindelman, best known for illustrating the first U.S. edition of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". Splendid book and a very good, not unattractive ex-library copy. JS.
