Thrapp. This is the first publication as a book of Carr's account of his time (3 years) with Co. E. First Cavalry at Ft. McDowell, Arizona. A copy virtually as new.

Biography of Brigadier General Carr from a young lieutenant in the Civil War to the First Cavalry Company E in Arizona, 1866: Fighting Apaches, duty in Fort McDowell and Fort Yuma, etc. This was the first book handset by Lewis Osborne. A handsome production. Winner of the Western Book Award.
