Containing; 'The Lift and Work of Luke Fildes, R.A' by David Croal Thomson, published in 1895. Illustrated with three plates, three full paged engravings, and in-text engravings. 'The Life and Work of Edward Burne-Jones, BART' by Julia Cartwright, publighed 1894. Illustrated with four plates, two full page engravings, and in-text engravings. "William Holman Hunt, His Life and Work" by F. W. Farrar, D.D., F.R.S. Archdeacon and Canon of Westminster and Mrs Meynell", published in 1893. Illustrated with three full plates, four full page engravings, and in-text engravings. "Hubert Herkomer, Royal Academician), His Life and Work" by W. L. Courtney, published in 1892. Illustrated with four plates, four full page engravings, and in-text engravings. In the publisher's original cloth binding with decorative boarder and gilt lettering to the front board and spine. Externally, some wear to the extremities, particularly to the head and tail of the spine. Bumping to the spine. Some light marks to the boards. Repaired tear to the tail of the spine. Small cracks to the tail of the joints. Hinges are starting. Some light marking to the front pastedown. Closed tear to front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages 16 - 17 beginning to loosen. Light spotting to some pages, particularly to the first and last few pages. Final page 33 particularly age toned. Otherwise pages are generally bright and clean Good. book.
