There is a smaller than a quarter sized circle with an H in it stamp inside the back cover- which is a marking from Random House. No other writing or markings in the book. Inside the front cover along the inside text there are some glue spots, but otherwise this book is very nice! Book appears unread. Outside pictorial covers show some minor scuffing and wear to include the outside corners. Pictorial Cover without Dust Jacket. Book has come from a private collection. A less common title in this great series. Landmark Books and World Landmark Books are accurate, in-depth stories for young people in the 9-15 year old range. Ellis, a highly-decorated, veteran fighter pilot, was appointed as the new commander of the U.S. Sixth Fleet by President Johnson in 1964. Book is in Very Good Plus condition with a tight binding and mostly clean crisp pages. Book appears unread with inside text in near New condition. There is a small X in black in the upper left corner of the first end page and there is a small amount of soiling to pages 90-92- not sure what happened there, but it is minor and in the outside border of the pages with NO effect to the written words. No other writing or markings inside or outside of the book. Outside covers are nice with some minor corner wear. A very nice copy of one of the tougher to find Landmark books! No Dust Jacket, as this book was not issued with a Dust Jacket.
