Hard cover. Funk & Wagnalls Company-copyright 1922 Very good. No dust jacket. good.
Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. Really nice, tight copy of this reprint issued to coincide with the 1941 film featuring Gary Cooper as Sergeant York. True story of a humble young man from Tennessee who became an American icon for his heroic service in World War One. " What you did was the greatest thing accomplished by any private soldier of all of the armies of Europe." This from Marshall Foch who pinned one of the Sergeant's many decorations on his uniform. Foch was honoring York's stopping a German machine gun battalion single-handly and marching 132 prisoners from that battalion back to the American line. I actually read this book fairly recently and can recommend it highly.
