Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Russet cloth covers are mostly clean, with gray ink and gilt ornament and title. Boards show two marks on front cover, some edgewear. Corners are bumped and scuffed. See photos. Spine has gilt text and is a little faded, with crushed ends. Binding is secure. Pastedowns and feps are toned, have a pencil mark at rear fep. Frontispiece, a photographic portrait of the author, is present and has intact tissue guard. Foldout maps are present. Illustrations, black and white photo plates, are bright and clear. Interior is gently age-toned. Inside pages are free of writing and intentional marks.
