Condizione: Gut. 11 p. From the library of Prof. Wolfgang Haase, long-time editor of ANRW and the International Journal of the Classical Tradition (IJCT). - A good and clean copy. - From the text: Origen (185-254 C.E.), Christian theologian of ancient Alexandria and Caesarea, was not neutral on what we call today the varieties of early Christianity or early Christian pluralism, nor on that toward which Christian faith points, the resurrection. He did not think one type of belief was just as good as another. Research in the modern period tries to respect the self-definitions of religious groups in late antiquity, including early Christian groups later deemed orthodox or heretical, but Origen did not share this mentality. Here we shall look at some of the ways he distinguished himself from other early Christians, especially on the subject of resurrection, and offer a positive statement of his enduring importance and value as Christian theologian and religious thinker. Sprache: Englisch Gewicht in Gramm: 550 Lecture manuscript, stapled, folded across.
