Signed and inscribed by the author. Octavo, red cloth (hardcover), gilt letters, 320 pp. From author's note: The names of persons appearing in this character story, except those of Father and Mother Evans, my own, and my brother's are ficticious; as are the names of towns and places, with the exception of Justus. Massillon, and Wooster, Ohio. While the stiuations and persons are taken from life, obviously names are disguised to avoid arm to the indivduals, many of whom are still living, or to the memories of the deceased ones, as well as to give the author complete freedom in telling the whole strange story, just as it was spun from life. This narrative is fictional-biography and, where necessary, some compromises with reality have been made, but the basic story is genuine, truthful, and moving. I hope you find it an enjoyable reading adventure. Children's Literature, HIstoric Fiction, Circus, Ohio. TCS.
