Paperback. Condizione: Good. First Edition. Wraps. 8vo. pp xii, 208. With a presentation to John Gawsworth in an unknown Italian hand ( possibly a friend of FraccacretaÕs ). Various bits of Italian publishing single sheet ephemera related to Fraccacreta loosely inserted. Gawsworth had translated Fraccacreta into English. Light wear, edges slightly chipped otherwise close to very good.

Paperback. Condizione: Good. 8vo. pp. 75, [i]. 2 portrait illustrations with Gawsworth's handwritten note stating 'Photographs by ÒPicture PostÓ at 21 Warwick Avenue.' Original grey card covers lettered maroon and black on upper cover. Presentation copy: 'For dear Honor who has suffered its reading in entirety and to satiety affectionately from the author ÒFyttonÓ (alias John Gawsworth) Londra, Giugno 57.' A further inscription in Gawsworth's hand on title page saying he will replace this with a proper copy as soon as some others arrive. The contents are misbound and Gawsworth has drawn attention to this fact on p. 6 with a note that states 'in the next 8 pages be careful: alas, they have been folded wrong! Courage! They are all there.' Antonio Casiglio's introduction is chiefly in Italian but the poems are in both English and Italian (parallel text). Pamphlet entitled John Gawsworth a Umberto Fraccacreta loosely inserted as issued. pp. 4. Signed and dedicated: ' Giovanni Gawsworth a Honor Zia (?) Giugno 57 Londra.' Three Gawsworth poems in both English and Italian translated by Umberto Fraccacreta, Antonio Casiglio and Salvatore Rosati produced on the 10th anniversary of the Italian poet Umberto Fraccacreta's (1892-1947) death. John Gawsworth born Terence Ian Fytton Armstrong, (1912-1970), writer, poet and compiler of anthologies, both of poetry and of short stories became the King of Redonda, a literary title referencing an uninhabited Caribbean island. Card covers a little worn and dusty, otherwise very good. Covers slightly dusty and a little used, otherwise near very good. Signedes.
