The spine is rubbed at the top and bottom with some fraying and there is a little wear to the edges. Page edges browned. Browning to the endpapers and a previous owner has written 'Mostly S. Africa' in pencil on the front free endpaper. '1/-' stamped to the reverse of the frontispiece which has a little edge chipping. Creasing and light spotting to the tissue and there are a few spots to the title page. There is some light spotting to a few pages through the book but the pages are generally unmarked. Seven photographic plates. No jacket.
