An approximately 4" diameter cloth crew emblem mounted onto an approximately 8.5" X 11" Certificate of Authenticity that reads in part: This STS-27 Patch was flown aboard the United States Space Shuttle, ATLANTIS, December 2, ,1988 to December 6, 1988. Launching from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, ATLANTIS completed 68 orbits, traveling 1.8 million miles before landing on the Rogers Dry Lakebed, Edwards Air Force Base, California. The certificate is SIGNED by Cdr. Robert "Hoot" Gibson, USN; Col. Guy S. Gardner, USAF Pilot; Col. R Mike Mullane, USAF Mission Specialist; Lt. Col. Jerry L. Ross, USAF Mission Specialist and Cdr. William M. Shepherd Mission Specialist. Mounted in wood frame with glass with gilt edging; outside dimensions approximately 12" X 16". Excellent presentation and condition. Book.
