Binding of this unread, inscribed book is tight enough that boards resist opening past 80 degrees -- would normally grade "as new," but we reduce our grade to "good plus" since a curious insect seems to have nibbled a one-inch (2 cm.) track into the top of the red cloth spine covering. Problem is barely visible when the "very good" glossy dust jacket is in place, but it is what it is. "First Edition" stated; number line complete 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 -- the first printing. Inscribed "Best Wishes / Gunther Gebel Williams" in black marker to the otherwise blank FFE. Cover photo re-creates an American Express commercial in which the circus performer said carrying the credit card was easier than carrying Kenny, the 75-pound leopard. "We had to do it over and over and over again, and the more we repeated ourselves, the more ornery Kenny became. . . . I actually looked surprisingly good in the commercial" (which aired during the Super Bowl.) "No one watching it on television would know how profusely I had been sweating" or that Kenny ended up biting his hand, requiring a brief visit to the hospital.
