Dust jacket is Very Good, almost Very Good Plus (see the photo enlarged): front panel is nice except for a thin crease and one small closed and repaired tear at an edge; rear panel has a few closed and repaired tears at the top edge, some long thin horizontal folds in the same area; top edge of back panel taped to rear board; otherwise excellent. Considered the best history of the American postcard, from its beginning in 1861 and through all the developments in printing and fads of subject matter. Well illustrated throughout, a fine-quality volume on picture postcards.
