Publiée en 1647 par Loredano sous le pseudonyme d'Henri Giblet, chypriote, cette histoire couvre tout le période du royaume franc de Chypre qui dura de 1192 à 1489. Ce petit royaume fut confié à la maison de Lusignan, très ancienne famille noble française qui eut une puissance certaine : de la maison des Lusignan sont issus des comtes de la Marche et d'Angoulême, des rois de Chypre, de Jérusalem et d'Arménie. La branche qui régna sur Chypre disparu après avoir d'abord perdu son indépendance puis par absence d'héritier. En effet, Jacques II meurt en laissant son épouse, Catherine Cornano, enceinte de Jacques III, en 1473, mais en 1474, Jacques III meurt lui aussi. Cornano deviendra alors reine de Chypre mais abdiquera en 1489. Reliure sur brochure, couvertures marbrées 18e en partie conservées (3 sur 4), demi-basane moderne, dos à l'imitation du 18e siècle, pièces de titre maroquin. Papier très bien conservé, quelques feuilles un peu roussis, petite mouillure marginale sur une dizaine de feuillets. Bon exemplaire, ouvrage rare.
