First edition hard back binding in publisher's original grey and tan paper covered boards with black paper covered spine, gilt title and author lettering to the spine, red end papers. 8vo. 8'' x 5½''. Contains 57 printed pages of large text with monochrome illustrations throughout. Corners and spine ends a little creased, ink message to the front free end paper. Near Fine condition book in Very Good condition dust wrapper with 20 mm closed tear to the upper rear gutter, not price clipped. Dust wrapper supplied in archive acetate film protection, this preserves and prolongs the life of the paper, it is not adhered to the book or to the dust wrapper. Member of the P.B.F.A. Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Poor. Frontispiece, v pp + 224pp, illustrations, blue boards, dustwrapper. The contents are in very good condition, with foxing to the page edges. The boards are also in very good condition, with fading to the spine and a closed tear along the length of the bottom of the spine. The dustwrapper is in poor condition, a touch grubby and with an open tear to the top of the spine and a little nibbling to the edges and blue staining to the rear of the back panel. Edges rubbed. creased and nicked. Small loss to spine base bottom. Small closed tears to edges. Light soiling to wrapper. 3/6s price on wrapper which is correct for the 1st edition.
