Libro Prima edizione
Hardcover. Condizione: Near Fine. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 114 pp., frontis, photographs. A tight, sharp cornered, unmarked copy with strong hinges and no book plates. Showing minor shelf wear to its edges and minor soiling to its boards, internally clean and fine. In a clear protective Mylar cover. No dust jacket as issued. Though fiction, this book includes Sheriff Pat Garrett and "Billie the Kid" as participants. From Jeff Dykes bibliographical reference book Dykes/Billy the Kid #58. "Rare. A fanciful fiction. but so far as is known it is the first novel in hard covers in which Billy the Kid is an important character. The Kid was a tool of the real villain: Pat Garrett was the sheriff, and also was important in the action. Almost the only incident in the novel that is based on fact is the killing of the kid at Maxwell's." The publisher managed to mis-spell the title on the front cover as "Stien's Pass." A RARE BOOK IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. A book that is missing in many Billy the Kid collections! Dyes/Billy the Kid #58, Six-Guns #1402.
