Carter Harman (1918 - 2007) piloted the first mission by a US military helicopter in a combat zone in 1945, for which he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. After the war Harman became a music critic and was the sound recorder for the 1963 film adaptation of "Lord of the Flies". OCLC 17237743. Signed by author.
