Obituary press cuttings dated 1903 relating to the author are pasted to inside of boards. Pages clean, slightly yellowing at edges, a few pages loose but all complete, binding worn.

Making arrangements for his forthcoming lecture tour, O'Rell sends material for advance publicity and requests information on travel and accommodation in Bolton, urging a speedy answer as 'I leave this place in a fortnight, & for two years shall have no regular address'. Included is the receipt for ten guineas for the Bolton lecture, signed 'Paul Blouët' across the revenue stamp. The letter from Blouët's wife, in French and written on his printed promotional stationery, assures her correspondent that her husband 'never uses alcohol as a stimulant'. First item with trace of mount at edge, all otherwise in nice state.
